The Wedding!

You guessed it ... I got married since my last posting here. It's crazy how much has happened and how fast everything has happened! I got engaged in April '05 and got married on October 15, '05. The time between April and October is a blur because it passed so quickly. There was a lot to do to get ready for the big day, but it all went very smoothly. My family was a huge help, as the wedding was in Margaree, Cape Breton. It was the most wonderful day! Everything was perfect! I couldn't have asked for better! Thank you to all who supported us emotionally, financially, and by doing things for us!

So, as you can see, my focus over the last 6 months has changed a lot. I went from being single and enjoying planning hiking events with my friends to becoming engaged and getting things ready for a wedding in Nova Scotia, to getting married. There was a lot of celebrating, and a lot of love. This is a very joyous time in my life! This coming weekend, Derek and I will be moving into a bigger apartment. We are both happy to have a bigger space to live in, but Derek is especially happy since he can finally take his clothes out of his suitcases! :)

We can't wait to share our life with you. We have plans to have friends over for social events, and eventually, I'll get back into organizing hikes again. Enjoy the pictures!

Hustle and Bustle

Waiting for Free Time ... The hustle and bustle of life has taken over. First it was Christmas, and now it is work. I'm not complaining, though. Christmas was wonderful this year. I spent it with my boyfriend and my family. It was his first time meeting my family, and we all had a great time in Margaree. We enjoyed the 20+ hour long road trip too. Upon arrival back in Toronto, I got a job which has taken up all my free time, including Saturdays (for awhile)!!
Anyway, I hope to have Saturdays free now, and will start planning excursions again soon.

Thanks for your patience.
Hope you're enjoying your winter!!!

Moonlight Cross-Country Ski ... Thanks to Peter for organizing this fun outing on January 15. About 15 or so people travelled together in a few cars to have an exciting evening of moonlight cross-country skiing. We all had a great time skiing the groomed trails and sitting next to a roaring fire in the woods drinking hot apple cider. Some of the skiers were new at this sport, so it was a lot of fun showing how to ski, watching them fall, struggle to get up, and wonder how to stop at the bottom of the hill. I promised I wouldn't post the picture of Derek's post-fall, so if you'd like to see it, just ask ;)
