Hike to Mono Cliffs - Part 2

It sure was great to be out on the trails again ... finally! I missed it a lot! We had a spectacular hike in the Mono Cliffs area (around Hockley Valley). A group of 8 hikers enjoyed the 4-hour hike, and we couldn't have asked for better weather! The colors were great too! It seems we couldn't avoid a 'turnaround' even though we did this trail about a year ago. Oh well, it was such a nice day, I don't think anyone minded. We also seem to come upon some very interesting things, or should I say 'unusual' things on our hikes. This time, believe it or not, in the middle of the hiking path, in the middle of nowhere, we happened upon a wedding that was about to begin. The bride was getting her picture taken and if we were 10 minutes later, we wouldn't have been able to make it through the path as the ceremony was set up to be right on the path! Anyway, we made it by. The people attending the ceremony were saying "oh, look .. hikers!" Kind of funny! Thank you to all who came and to those who drove. Can't wait to do it all again!! :)
